With a range of courses in Audio Engineering and Sound Production, Contemporary Music and Performance, Game Design, 3D Animation, Film and Television Production, it’s no wonder internationally recognised institutions like the Berklee College Of Music want to team up! This issue we get the real JMC word from Alumni Emma Chow who completed an Advanced Diploma in Entertainment Business Management and who is now the current co-host and producer of the breakfast show on The Edge 96ONE.
Since graduating from JMC Academy, what have you been up to in the industry?
Currently I’m the Co-Host and Producer of the breakfast show on The Edge 96ONE. I kinda just fell into radio after JMC Academy, and then fell in love with it. Talking has always been my strong point! My first job in the industry after graduating from JMC was Chart Manager at The Music Network. Part of my role involved interviewing Program and Music Directors over the phone and Charlie Fox (my now boss) liked what he heard. He offered me a fill-in guest spot for a few weeks and it was fun, but nothing eventuated. A year later I got a phone call with an offer to co-host and produce The Edge breakfast show!
