The Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) survey is Australia's national measure of student experience in higher education. Each year, students across the country tell the government, honestly, what studying at their institution is actually like.
The 2025 results are in, and JMC students had plenty of good things to say.

JMC students rated our teaching among the best in the country. That's what happens when your lecturers are working professionals who bring real industry knowledge into the classroom, not just theory from a textbook.
Skills development: 89%.
Students told QILT they're building real, usable skills at JMC. Hands-on projects and studio-based learning mean you're developing craft you can actually use, from day one.
Quality of educational experience: 83%.
This experience area covers the bigger picture, from course design to campus life. A score like this tells us students feel supported, not just taught.
Peer engagement: 81%.
Collaboration is embedded into how we teach. Our students work together across courses, our Entertainment Business Management students can manage our music students; design students work with our game development students, and that cross-discipline mixing allows for all our students to feel connected to one another.
