Scholarship Winner, Alli Lockhart, tells of her excitement to be commencing the Diploma of Popular Music and Performance at JMC Academy, and the plans for her future.
Drumming runs in the Lockhart family, so when Alli received a scholarship to pursue her passion last week she was thrilled.
The 18-year-old student picked up her first set of drumsticks when she was just six and began serious lessons in year 7 when she started at Ballarat High School.
For the past six years she has fine tuned her craft and performed countless gigs with her band Live Wire all over Ballarat.
She even holds the record for the most drumming sheets completed at BHS, a feat that earned her a Pearl drumkit of her own from her dad.
