Mountain Sounds – Central Coast, NSW

With huge headline acts for 2017 such as RรœFรœS, Hermitude, DMA'S and Dune Rats, and supported by Triple J, this festival is in it’s 4th year and growing exponentially. Located in Mount Penang Parklands in the Central Coast, NSW,  they boast their ‘environmentally diverse and incredibly visual’ location for this picture-perfect boutique outing. 
As well as featuring an impressive array of acts on the line up, Mountain Sounds also caters to those looking to discover upcoming, local talent. Sourcing local bands from Central Coast, Sydney and Newcastle to share the bill with some of the biggest names in Australian music at the moment, Mountain Sounds is a must for those looking for a diverse and memorable experience.

Beyond the Valley - VIC

Bringing in the New Year with a bang, Victoria’s boutique festival Beyond the Valley this year saw acts ranging from Chance the Rapper, to Dune Rats, Sticky Fingers and Hermitude.

Strawberry Fields – Murray River, NSW

Located next to the Murray river in NSW, Strawberry Fields is held for three days each November. With a focus on electronica and dance, they bring you a diverse selection of both renowned and breakthrough music from both Australia and overseas.

Subsonic Music Festival - NSW

Left-field through and through, Subsonic Music festival is a vibrant underground music camping paradise 2.5 hours north of Sydney, with 3 full days of non-stop live, ambient, reggae, hip-hop, jazz, progressive, electro-punk, bass, house and techno music.

Party in the Paddock - TAS

Known for it’s chilled atmosphere and located in Tasmania, Party in the Paddock focuses on Aussie talent. Sold out for 2017, they describe themselves as boutique-radical with acts such as Sticky Fingers and Hermitage taking the stage.

Festival of the Sun –Port Macquarie NSW

Described more like an Ozzie Backyard Barbeque than a festival, Festival of the Sun is held every year in Port Macquarie. With only a few thousand tickets available each year, this really is a boutique festival hosting names such as Gang of Youths, The Smith Street Band, Dune Rats and Seth Sentry.

Sounds of the suburbs - Cronulla, NSW

Hidden in the shire, Cronulla, Sound of the Suburbs brings three packed stages to 2017, completely taking over Wilbar Lane. With appearances from DZ Deathrays, Guantanamo Baywatch and Peter Bibby and many other indie-tuned artists. Sound of the Suburbs is a celebration of art and music, featuring art installations and amazing food for you to immerse yourself in this thriving boutique festival.

Lost Paradise – Glenworth Valley

Another New Years Eve extravaganza, Lost Paradise is a spiritual festival, soaked in culture and bringing in the new year with acts such as Sticky Fingers, Flight Facilities and Gang of Youths. Lost Paradise is a sensory-overload, catering to all types of festival-goers. While waiting for your favourite artist to take the stage, there are an abundance of other activities attendees can take part in, including Laughing Yoga at the Shambhala Fields and the fancy-dress parade to show off your most outrageous costumes. It is an event that must be experienced to be understood – being transported to a protected paradise with thousands of strangers creates a sense of community, making for quite a depressing return to our regular lives.
