JMC Academy’s focus has always been on providing students with the highest quality, not only in teaching but also in student experiences and facilities.
In keeping with this JMC Academy is excited to announce the opening of a second campus in South Brisbane.
Expanding on its current South Brisbane campus is a new 8-floor, $10 million, state-of-the-art creative education facility at 69 Grey Street. This additional campus includes a new library, expanded study areas, classrooms, creative collaborative spaces and additional break-out areas. Most anticipated however, is the addition of 17 fully equipped practice and ensemble rehearsal rooms spanning over 2-floors.
“This new purpose built campus will allow the performance and songwriting students to immerse themselves in music making” says JMC’s Head of Music, Sean Foran. “For a student studying music, an environment conducive to regular focused individual practice and group rehearsal sessions is essential. Adding to the facilities of the original campus as we have, we are confident that this additional campus and it's facilities will strengthen our music program as well as the student experience at JMC Academy in Brisbane."
JMC’s Founder and Managing Director (John Martin Cass) comments, “the new building in Brisbane shows JMC Academy’s natural inclination to invest in the future of the creative industries and shows our belief and confidence in the sector. It continues with our commitment to provide our students with ample access to high quality facilities, giving them even greater opportunities to succeed”.
Although established in Sydney in 1982, JMC Academy has been offering higher education Degrees and Diplomas in the Creative Industries to passionate and talented Brisbane school leavers for just over a decade.
