Games to look out for in the near future

E3 2015 has been an exciting time for new IPs, sequels and technologies, so we thought we would take a look at what we think you should be looking out for in the near future…

Fallout 4

We all know that Fallout 3 was far more compelling than any of the previous Fallout’s, but it looks that Fallout 4 may be about to top them all. Fallout 4 will continue to see the main character reshape the world. However, for the first time, players will be able to break down and rebuild objects from around the destroyed Boston area, to reform them into nearly anything they would want and need.  We are excited to see how this gear customization will affect the game, and can’t wait to dig into the wreckage and see what we can create! See for yourself in this gameplay video…

Need for speed

Need for Speed has had their ups and downs of recent, but have promised a great reboot for this newest release.  According to the E3 trailer, "Speed, Style, Build, Crew and Outlaw," - those five elements will combine for the perfect Need for Speed experience. The focus is back on nighttime driving and, similar to Fallout 4, is putting more focus back on the way you yourself as the player can build the car more specific to how you would like it to look, drive and even sound. It seems they have pulled out the bits we know and love, and trimmed the rubbish out, so we are looking forward to see if it is as good as they say it will be!

Tony Hawk 5

Tony Hawk is another one that has had its ups and downs, but again this newest release is getting us all excited as it’s going ‘back to the basics’. The game is promising to go back to its classic format with straightforward trick-mashing, although we are hoping this doesn’t mean it doesn’t look too ‘old-school’ as a lot of the fans are currently worrying. Unlike other major titles, they are making it for the last generation of consoles so it may not going to look as good as people expect. But it will play like the classic. Have a look at the trailer, and let us know what you think @JMCAcademy.

Platform: Xbox one, X360, PS4, PS3
Due: October 2015

Mad Max

Not tied to the recent film release, although coming at the right time with the linked hype, the new Mad Max release starts at the same point; with the players first task to build a new car. You then drive along the wasteland causing mayhem and avoiding people constantly trying to steal your look, with great vehicle combat play.

Due: September 2 2015

Assasin’s creed: Sydnicate

After their fail with Unity, Assasins creed are bringing us Sydnicate which shifts the action to Victorian-era London. You will find the two leads Jacob and Evie Frye, as you play to grow your underground gang attempting to take down the powerful Templar leaders that run the city. Syndicate primarily maintains the third-person action of earlier entries, but we hope that the long game will be as compelling as it used to be, as you build and maintain your Victorian gang, while also working on your next big target. Check out the trailer…

Halo 5: Guardians

The Master Chief Collection has tided the fans over with HD updates to the existing core entries but this autumn, they’re ready to show off their big new addition to the multi-player canon. Halo 5 features the largest battles seen in the series yet, which is a definite step in the right direction. ‘Epic worlds, Epic Battles’, we look forward to it!

Cod black ops 3

The 2015 Call of Duty release is a return to Black Ops with a new story, ‘Overhauled Zombies mode, even more runny-jumpy parkour control scheme as first used in CoD Advanced Warfare, class-based multiplayer with special abilities’ that includes special new abilities and features that super charge the experience with upgraded soldiers at your disposal. With a huge hype surround the new COD, we are excited to see how it plays.
