It’s that time of year again filmmakers!
JMC Academy’s annual Martini Film Awards are back! In its 12th year, this exciting event showcases the incredible work done by some of our film and animation students and alumni as JMC Academy recognizes some of the most excellent entries with a number of Martini Awards!
And now for the exciting news if you’re a high school student – the Mocktail Awards are back and applications have officially opened!
The Mocktail Category is awarded to the best short film entered by a high school student or group. We have had some amazing entries in previous years that have been shot in a huge range of styles and genres, including:
- Short fiction
- Short documentary
- Short Animation
- Television Commercial
- Music Video
Now before you run to grab your camera, a couple of quick notes to remember:
- Mocktails are open to all High School Students in New South Wales, ACT, Victoria and Queensland
- These awards will be held in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in 2020
- Work must have been completed over the past year
- As with the rest of our Martini Awards, each submission will be reviewed by industry professionals (pretty cool) who will submit their selection of shortlisted films to be showcased at the Martini Awards and the winner announced on the night.
If you think your film has what it takes to stand out above all the other entries in your state, we invite you to submit your short films and go into the running to win some awesome prizes for yourself and your school!
