Having the audio and film guys to work with me on my projects taught me a lot about the whole process. I put this into action as one of the animators on the ‘Happy Feet’ films.

In two years at JMC, I worked on over 15 projects, most of which I was in a major role. I've learnt how to do so many roles I never even knew about, and been pushed to my creative limits many times.

Global Industry Connections

We have dozens of key industry partnerships that allow us to connect you to the right people. Our strong industry links also ensure that JMC Academy qualifications are recognised within the creative industries. Here's just a few.

Careers in the Industry

JMC’s Game Design graduates currently work in a wide range of creative positions in game design, film + TV, animation and advertising, in major studios like Animal Logic and design houses like ZSpace.

Animation is no longer just a genre, it’s a medium and it has become the wonderchild of the creative sector. It's a global industry at which Australia excels – from ads to Oscar winners – with VFX and animation consumed worldwide in film and TV, on Stan, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and all the other streaming services, and increasingly on YouTube, Twitter, TikTok and Instagram.

The global animation market is projected to reach US$473.7 million by 2026, up from US$272.1 million in 2020, while in 2020, a record $56.9 billion was spent on gaming in the US, a 27 per cent increase from 2019. By 2024, the consumer gaming industry is expected to reach a value of $198 billion
