Competitions to cure your isolations blues? We've got you covered!
JMC Academy is excited to launch the 2020 Canvas Award Art Competition, showcasing the incredible work of young artists and designers who are taking creativity to the next level.
If you are a high school student with a knack for either drawing, painting or using creative digital mediums, we invite you to creatively interpret this year’s theme into an illustrated scene.
Theme “Currently we’re experiencing a rapidly changing socio-political and technological landscape. The world is moving fast and there’s constant information hitting our screens while people are becoming disillusioned by the structures and foundations of the past. But, what we’ve seen is a great movement of voices from around the world attempting to build a better future. Visualise how you would like to see our future world, how will we live, what does our transport look like, how will we grow crops; what legacy will we leave behind for future generations?”
All artists are unique in their abilities, to reflect that we are opening the competition to nearly all still image mediums. You can submit either:
- An Analogue Artwork
- Digital 2D Artworks
- 3D Artworks
- Or any combination of the above
A few of quick notes to remember before submitting:
- The Canvas Award competition is open to all New South Wales, ACT, Victoria and Queensland based high school students
- Work must have been completed over the past year (from January 1st, 2020)
