The contemporary performing arts industry needs versatile actors - people who have broad and coherent theoretical and technical knowledge of the profession and the industry, are able to work with flexibility, sustainable practice and innovation and are able to engage and develop opportunities for professional work across the mediums of theatre, film, television and digital performance.

The systems taught at JMC involve unique and dynamic processes of learning that will equip you with a robust and logical pathway to producing theatrical and cinematic performance. We are committed to nurturing versatility and flexibility for our graduates, enabling them to move with confidence between a variety of performance media, locations and contexts.

In only 2 years you can graduate with a Bachelor degree thanks to our accelerated full-time course. Part-time study is also available to domestic students. International students may choose to complete the course in 3 years [CRICOS 104617B] rather than the accelerated 2 year option.

If you are interested in studying Acting, you will need to complete an audition as part of your application. Auditions are held regularly throughout the year and are designed for us to determine your level of competency, areas for growth and suitability for the chosen course. 
Our performance courses are designed to produce graduates ready to enter the industry as professionals. An integral part of this process is exposing students to casting and talent management agents, producers and directors throughout their time with us. The high-caliber training and reputation of our students ensures that many of the best agents attend our graduate productions, and this has led to students being offered representation and audition opportunities upon graduation. We assist and guide our graduates in choosing the right agent.
