2023-2024 Academic Dates
At JMC Academy, staying on top of key dates in our academic calendar is extremely helpful. These include when each term kicks off and wraps up, and of course, those much-needed break times. It's a good idea to keep these dates in mind to plan your year and get the most out of your time at JMC. We make sure to get these dates out to you well ahead of time, so you've got everything you need to plan your studies and downtime.
Intake Dates
Intake Dates: Undergraduate
JMC Academy has three intake periods (February, June and September) and operates on a trimester system (3 academic periods a year) for full-time undergraduate courses (Diplomas and Bachelors).
Orientation Week is for new students only and is the week prior to the commencement of classes and typically lasts 1-3 days depending on your course and campus.
JMC Academy's upcoming undergraduate intake and term dates are:
- Trimester Starts: 25th September 2023
- Trimester Ends: 5th January 2024
- Holidays: 8th January 2024 - 11th February 2024
- Orientation Week: 5th February 2024
- Trimester Starts: 12th February 2024
- Trimester Ends: 17th May 2024
- Holidays: 20nd May 2024 - 2nd June 2024
- Orientation Week: 27th May 2024
- Trimester Starts: 3rd June 2024
- Trimester Ends: 6th Sept 2024
- Holidays: 9th Sept 2024 - 22th Sept 2024

For domestic current year 12 students looking to study at our Melbourne campus
Intake Dates: Postgraduate
Our postgraduate courses operate on a semester system (2 academic periods a year). This includes the Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Masters.
JMC Academy's upcoming postgraduate intake and term dates are:
- Semester Starts: 7th August 2023
- Orientation week occurs the week prior
- Mid-Semester Break: 18th September - 24th September 2023
- Semester Ends: 17th November 2023
- Holidays: 20th November 2023 - 25th February 2024
- Semester Starts: 26th February 2024
- Orientation week occurs the week prior
- Mid-Semester Break: 8th April - 14th April 2024
- Semester Ends: 7th June 2024
- Holidays: 10th June - 11th August 2024
Census Dates
The census date determines the point at which a financial liability is incurred for a course. Students must finalise all enrolments in a term or semester before the census date. JMC Academy's upcoming census dates are:
