Catch Real Creativity Happening in Real Time
Running from 9:45AM to 3:00PM, see our Sydney campus transforms into a thriving creative ecosystem where performance, sound, design, and screen collide! Come early for a complimentary coffee and snack to fuel yourself for the adventure ahead!
You might start your day inside a live TV and film set, watching cameras roll and scenes form, before stepping into an immersive audio experience that completely reshapes how you hear sound (our Sydney studios are out of this world!). Experience live recording and mixing sessions and hear JMC’s legendary teaching staff (also producers!) break down the anatomy of a track from the inside out.
Upstairs, things take a more performative turn with acting showcases, music theatre workshops, and live performances unfolding across multiple spaces.
There’s no one way to do Open Day here, because in Sydney, creative careers rarely follow a straight line.

At JMC Sydney’s Creative Open Day, every discipline opens its doors and invites you in.
Acting and Music Theatre take centre stage, with ensemble workshops, live showcases, and a behind-the-scenes look into the JMC acting journey.
Stage Management offers a rare glimpse into what happens offstage, spotlighting the coordination and craft that bring productions to life.
Animation and Game Design blends play and process, with a student gaming arcade, animation showcases, and hands-on drawing sessions with industry tools.
Audio Engineering and Sound Production dives deep into sound, from recording sessions to multitrack and Atmos mixing demonstrations, plus a fully immersive audio experience.

Music will be running through the entire campus on Open Day… as it usually does! From jam sessions and live performances to DJ sets and producer meet-and-greets, come along to see what makes studying Music at JMC so special.
