Peter Jones is the Managing Director of Peter Jones Special Events and one of Australia’s leading event producers. He has been creating special events since he can remember. Peter has continually dedicated a great deal of time to representing and supporting the industry at many levels.

He has been involved with many high profile events including the AFL grand final, Melbourne cup, Australia Day celebrations, public appearances of her Majesty the Queen and Oprah Winfrey and the Australian Olympic events in Sydney, London and Rio.

He has recently stepped down as Chairman of the Victoria Events Industry Council (VEIC) and as a member of the Victoria Tourism Industry Council. Peter was also a board member of Destination Melbourne and past President of the Melbourne chapter of the International Special Events Society (ISES).

In conversation with Liliana, Peter will discuss the impact on the events and entertainment industries of COVID 19 and how these impacts will change, how we produce events and what we will need to start implementing for events moving forward.
