Join one of Brisbane's most talented Digital Content Creators and explore her transition from the creation of physical experiences to virtual ones!

Georgie Pinn has 2 decades of experience working as an artist, director and producer of public cultural events, interactive installations, film, fashion, animation, theatre and sound.

Her creative practice is underpinned by her long-term research into how immersive technology and storytelling can be used as a creative force for triggering empathy and connecting strangers.

Her projects have been presented in a range of international sites/events such as The Barbican (London), Ars Electronica (Austria), Federation Square (Melbourne), Drive (Berlin), Robotronica, ISEA (S.Africa), Pause Fest, and the MCG. Most recently she won the “Best Interactive Experience” award at Sheffield Doc Fest in the UK for her interactive documentary installation work called ECHO.

She continuously pushes the envelope of audiovisual storytelling, creating interactive live generative animation and sound platforms that are driven by motion tracking technology. This exploration feeds into the design and facilitation of immersive technology based education programs for all ages. These workshops explore unique forms of creative expression and blur the line between artist and audience.

Georgie will dive deep into her history within the industry, from her work in audio, visual, sound design and animation fields. She’ll introduce you all to ECHO, an internationally acclaimed project she has had the opportunity to work on that has travelled the world and won various awards. During this Masterclass she’ll also delve into her current projects and explore how COVID has impacted her work, exchanging the creation of physical experiences for virtual ones. Take the opportunity to ask any and all of your questions during a dedicated 30 min Q+A moderated by a member of the JMC team.
