JMC Academy Design Scholarship – Terms & Conditions
1. Background
- The JMC Academy Design Scholarship (“the Scholarship”) is established to support eligible students commencing the Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication) at JMC Academy.
- The Scholarship provides a 30% tuition fee reduction for the full-time duration of the program.
2. Eligibility
The Scholarship is available to applicants who:
- Are commencing the Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication) (and not enrolled in any other program, or in a double degree).
- Are school leavers and/or qualify for entry via an approved admissions pathway.
- Are commencing full-time study in Trimester 1, 2026.
- Maintain enrolment as a full fee-paying domestic student for the Bachelor of Design.
- Submit a completed Application Form, and have provided all required admissions information and documentation necessary.
- Do not hold an alternative JMC Academy scholarship of equal or greater value for the same program.
3. Selection Criteria
- The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of:
- Academic merit (performance in HSC or equivalent, portfolio, interview, or admissions criteria).
- Responses to application questions regarding motivation, creativity, and future goals.
- The decision of the Scholarship is final, and no appeals will be accepted.
4. Value & Payments
- The Scholarship provides a 30% tuition fee reduction applied each trimester for the Bachelor of Design program.
- The equivalent value is applied as a tuition fee reduction at each subject census date.
- The Scholarship cannot be transferred to another program or institution.
- Deferral or suspension of the Scholarship is not permitted except by written approval of the Chief Customer Officer.
5. Ongoing Eligibility
- Recipients must:
- Remain enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Design.
- Maintain a minimum pass mark in each semester.
- Meet all enrolment and administrative requirements by each census date as published by JMC Academy.
- Recipients undertaking an approved exchange program or leave of absence must seek confirmation in writing to retain eligibility.
6. Termination
- The Scholarship may be terminated if the recipient:
- Withdraws from or fails to enrol in the eligible course
- Commences part-time study without prior approval
- Does not maintain satisfactory academic performance
- Is found to have provided false or misleading information
- Does not abide with institutional policies and codes of conduct
- Accepts an alternative scholarship from JMC Academy equal to or greater than the value of this award
- The Scholarship will not be reinstated except in cases of proven JMC administrative error.
- JMC Academy reserves the right to recover scholarship funds paid if a recipient is found to have breached these Terms and Conditions or engaged in misconduct.
7. General
- The Scholarship is awarded subject to the availability of funds and the right of JMC Academy to amend Terms and Conditions at its discretion, with notice to recipients.
- By applying, applicants acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and all relevant JMC Academy policies.
