JMC Academy is proud to present the 2025 Cassette Awards, a national celebration of creativity, collaboration, and student achievement across JMC’s Music, Audio, and Entertainment Business Management departments.
Each year, the Cassette Awards recognise the outstanding work, innovation, and artistry emerging from our student and alumni communities. From chart-ready original songs to boundary-pushing production and performance, the awards honour the creative drive that powers JMC’s campuses nationwide.
This year, we’re thrilled to bring the celebrations to Brisbane and Melbourne and Sydney, where students, alumni, staff, and industry guests will come together for unforgettable evenings of live performances and award presentations.

A Night to Celebrate JMC’s Irreplaceable Sound
More than a showcase, the Cassette Awards represent the spirit of JMC, where hands-on learning, creative ambition, and collaboration meet real-world outcomes. The night will feature performances from both current students and alumni, highlighting the next wave of talent shaping Australia’s creative industries.
To acknowledge the achievement of our community, each campus will be presenting awards in eight categories (seven in Brisbane), including Alumni Achievement, Outstanding Instrumental Performance, Best Produced Track, Vocal Excellence, EBM Trailblazer, Golden Ears Award, Original Song of the Year and People's Choice.

In the true spirit of supporting Australian music, JMC Academy is proudly backing Aus Music T-Shirt Day, the annual national initiative raising vital funds for Support Act, Australia’s music industry charity providing crisis relief to musicians, crew, and music workers in need.
This year, you can pre-order your exclusive Cassette Gig T-Shirt when you RSVP for tickets to the event. All profits from shirt sales will go directly to Support Act.
