From Audience to Finalist: JMC Sydney’s Alyssa Delpopolo Reaches The Voice 2025 Grand Finale

At just 19 years old, JMC Music student Alyssa Delpopolo is taking the Australian music scene by storm, earning a coveted spot in The Voice 2025 grand finale as part of Team Kate Miller-Heidke.

What makes her journey even more extraordinary? Alyssa wasn’t even supposed to be on stage that day. Sitting in the audience during the early stages of the competition, she was personally invited by Kate Miller-Heidke to audition after catching the coach’s attention — a spontaneous moment that would change her life forever.

“Youngest of the bunch, Delpopolo was sitting in the audience when Miller-Heidke pulled her from the crowd and encouraged her to audition,” Seven News reported.

Despite discovering her passion for singing at just two years old and now pursuing her Music degree at JMC Academy, Alyssa admits that performing hasn’t always come easily.

“Even now, I still get nervous,” she shared. “But being on The Voice has pushed me out of my comfort zone and reminded me why I fell in love with performing in the first place.”

Alyssa has had the opportunity to perform at various events and showcases throughout her time at JMC, including our recent Class of 2025 graduation where she performed the Australian National Anthem in the Sydney Recital Hall.

A Dream Come True

Now representing Kate Miller-Heidke in the 2025 grand-finale, and the youngest contestant in the competition, Alyssa is making JMC proud with her humility, courage, and powerhouse vocals.

“It’s a dream come true,” she said. “Never in a million years did I expect to be in the grand finale of The Voice — the little kid inside of me is literally bursting right now … it feels so good.”
