Career Practitioner Day is designed for career advisors and career practitioners from across Queensland.

What's on:

Student Work Showcases & Live Performances
Student work showcases and live performances will offer an insight into the practical, industry-focused learning environment at JMC.

Complimentary Lunch & Networking
Lunch will be provided, along with time to connect with fellow practitioners and JMC staff.

Why attend?

Career Practitioners play a critical role in guiding students toward informed and realistic future pathways. Creative industries are broad, fast-evolving, and often misunderstood, making it essential to have accurate, current insight when advising students.

Brisbane Career Practitioner Day is designed to provide clarity around creative career options, industry expectations, and graduate outcomes. Through direct engagement with JMC Academy educators and exposure to real student work, attendees will gain practical, up-to-date information that supports meaningful career conversations.

Attendees will gain a stronger understanding of the creative job market and how JMC Academy supports students in developing the skills, experience, and industry connections needed to progress into these careers.

Participants will leave better equipped to:

  • Confidently discuss creative industries and career pathways with students and parents

  • Understand how creative education translates into employment opportunities

  • Provide informed, realistic guidance based on industry-aligned learning and outcomes

This event offers knowledge that can be immediately applied in one-to-one consultations, workshops, and broader career guidance programs.
