By Train
JMC Academy is about a 10-15 minute walk from Sydney’s Central Station via Harris St or ‘The Goods Line’.
The Goods Line starts at Railway Square, at the end of the Devonshire Street pedestrian tunnels. The Goods Line can be followed to the rear of the Powerhouse Museum, where you can veer to the left up Macarthur Street and onto Harris Street.
By Bus
JMC is accessible by many bus routes passing through the Sydney CBD and Railway Square (Central Station). See here for specific routes and timetables.
By Light Rail
The light rail is also another good means of transport as there are a couple of light rail stops (the Exhibition stop, or Haymarket stop) that are 1-2 blocks walk from the campus.
Transport Concessions
Domestic students can collect an Opal transport concession form from Administration. This form enables students to receive discounted fares applying to travel on all public transport. Discounts of approximately 50% off the normal price apply. International students are not eligible to receive transport concessions at this time.
JMC Academy does not have its own parking and students are strongly encouraged to use public transport, including trains, light rail and buses to get to and from campus. The following options are available for driving to and from the campus should you choose to do so.
Street Parking
There is limited one and two hour paid metered street parking available in the surrounding streets.
Note: Parking officers strictly monitor the area regularly issuing parking fines.
Paid Car Parks
JMC is partnered with the paid Wilson Parking building on Murray St in Pyrmont (about a 10-15 min walk from the campus). Tickets can be validated with JMC administration for a day rate of $15.
