Our program is the ideal way for you to share your knowledge and experience, while gaining important leadership, teamwork, public speaking and event management skills. 

Support Open Days, Orientation and other key events.
Inspire future students through school visits.
Work with our partners such as SXSW, PAX and Laneway.
Guide prospective students through campus while sharing your experiences.
Help create content for our Instagram and TikTok!

What are we looking for?

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially with diverse groups of people
  • Willingness to share your experiences and learn new skills
  • A friendly, caring approach with a positive attitude and a willingness to complete task efficiently
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Genuine interest in giving back to the community
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and blogs.

Eligibility

This program is open to students who are enrolled in any JMC Academy course who:

  • Have successfully completed at least two trimesters of studies
  • Are available to attend the JMC Student Ambassador training before key events (dates TBC)
  • Able to assist in pre and post event duties including merchandise and collateral stocktakes, event prep and set up, pack downs etc.
  • Obtain a current Working with Children Check
  • Are available to work outside ordinary hours
  • Hold a current valid driver’s licence (preferred)

What's involved

Ambassadors are appointed for one (1) year and may reapply following years.
Ambassadors expected to prioritise classes.
Ambassadors must submit timesheets within two weeks of each shift worked.
Training prior to major events is compulsory and paid.
Attendance at a minimum of two Open Days is compulsory.
