ABBREVIATED TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Promotion Period: 12:00pm (AEDT) 27/03/2026 – 11:59pm (AEDT) 12/04/2026. Entry is open to individuals who are considering or have applied for the Animation or Game Design course at JMC Academy. To enter the competition, participants must: submit an original character sketch of a pop culture figure (e.g. superhero, anime character, etc.) via the online submission form provided. One entry per person. The prize consists of one (1) double pass to Supanova Melbourne (18-19 April 2026) per winner. A total of 1 double passes are available to be won. Winners will be selected based on creativity, originality, and effort. Judging will take place at: JMC Academy, 208 Park Street, South Melbourne VIC 3205 on or after the 13th April. Winners will be notified in writing via email or phone by 15th April. The Promoter’s decision is final & no correspondence will be entered into. Terms & Conditions
1. General
1.1 Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms & Conditions. Participation in this competition is deemed acceptance of these conditions.
1.2 Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid. The Schedule to these Terms & Conditions forms part of these conditions.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Entry is open to individuals who are considering or have applied for the Animation or Game Design course at JMC Academy.
2.2 Entrants must be Australian residents aged 17 years or over at the time of entry.
2.3 Employees, directors, and immediate family members of the Promoter (JMC Pty Ltd), its related entities, agencies, and suppliers directly involved in the competition are not eligible to enter.
3. How to Enter
3.1 To enter, eligible individuals must submit an original character sketch of a pop culture figure (e.g. superhero, anime character, etc.) via the online submission form provided.
3.2 Entries must be submitted during the Promotion Period: Opening Date: 23rd March 2026 at 12:00 PM (AEDT) and Close Date 12th April 2026 at 11:59 PM (AEDT)
3.3 Only one (1) entry per person is permitted.
3.4 Late, lost, incomplete, or misdirected entries will not be accepted.
4. Judging and Prize
4.1 Winners will be selected based on creativity, originality, and effort. Judging will take place at: JMC Academy, 208 Park Street, South Melbourne VIC 3205 on or after the 15th April.
4.2 The prize consists of one (1) double pass to Supanova Melbourne (18-19 April 2026) per winner.
4.3 The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
4.4 Winners will be notified in writing via email or phone on 15th April 2026.
4.5 Tickets will be delivered electronically by 17th April 2026.
5. Additional Terms
5.1 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value or any tax implications that may arise from the prize.
5.2 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the identity and eligibility of entrants and may request photo ID or other documentation.
5.3 If a winner is unable to provide valid proof of identity or eligibility, the prize will be forfeited and a redraw may occur.
5.4 If a prize is unclaimed, the Promoter may conduct a redraw on 16th April 2026, subject to any applicable legislation.
5.5 If there is no Prize Winner or the Prize Winner cannot be found, the Promoter will publish it.
6. Limitations of Liability
6.1 Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter is not responsible for: Any technical difficulties or equipment malfunctions Theft, unauthorised access or third-party interference Entry or prize claim delays Any injury, loss or damage suffered in connection with the prize or this competition
6.2 The Promoter encourages responsible participation and use of prizes.
6.3 If for any reason a prize, or any part of a prize becomes unavailable for any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize (or part thereof) for an alternative prize to the same value of the original prize value, subject to any written directions made under applicable State or Territory legislation.
7. Entry Content
7.1 Entries must be original and must not infringe on any third-party rights.
7.2 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of intellectual property rights.
8. Privacy
8.1 By entering, you consent to JMC Academy using your name and entry for promotional purposes, without compensation.
8.2 Personal information provided will be handled in accordance with JMC Academy’s Privacy Policy, available here.
8.3 By entering, entrants consent to the Promoter collecting, using, and disclosing their personal information for the purposes of conducting this promotion and for direct marketing as outlined in the Privacy Policy. Entrants can opt out of direct marketing at any time.
