Start creating: Shoot, edit and develop your talents whenever and however you can. Digital technology has made the industry more accessible.
Be a storyteller. Write down ideas and thoughts before you forget them.
Get Inspired: See and read everything - films, TV, art, theatre, blogs, books and more.
Learn the Industry- Find out how it works. Enrol in a course.
Volunteer. Producers are often grateful to have an unpaid assistant on set. Use those opportunities to learn.

Enter film festivals. Anyone can enter but research film type, length, screening format etc to make sure your work fits the event/category.
Diversify. Director, camera operator or editor aren't the only jobs on offer. What about set design, production management,sound recording?
