Change your world
one NOTE at a time.

Turn your talent for songwriting into a sustainable career. Study Music at JMC Academy (Australia) - intakes in February, June and September!

Some say that songwriting is a hard thing to teach another person, but I really believed that it is a form of art that can be learnt and practiced and JMC really confirmed my belief. I love that all the teachers are professional musicians who also work and live in the music field. Having a chance to go see your teacher perform at their own gig is an experience beyond studying.

The cultural and creative industries currently provide nearly 30 million jobs worldwide and employ more people aged 15−29 than any other sector. Nearly half of the people working in the cultural and creative industries are women, opening up new opportunities to address gender inequalities.”

I just love the approach, compared to back home, it’s so different in that everyone will have a chance to throw some ideas in a class, people are willing to listen, take your idea and then maybe expand your idea in a class. I came from a very small town, without much performance opportunity, but here you can gig pretty much every week if you want.

The people at JMC were so friendly with me. I always felt welcomed, people were really interested to get to know me, people were so kind and made you feel at home. The best thing about JMC was meeting people from different creative fields, and that allows you to build new relationships to work and create different content and collaborate with them.

I came into JMC with a very set idea of what my career should or would look like. And having opportunities to collaborate with other people and other industries showed me that there’s so many different options. People get to chase their craft and explore their craft and expand their craft in the way that they want to.

One thing in common between Melbourne and JMC is the approachable & friendly atmosphere. A lot of foreign students have said the same thing to me, that people in Melbourne are very amiable. JMC is exactly like this! If you are afraid about living abroad, don't worry: you will not feel lonely here. You will feel welcomed here. I would like to say a special thank you to JMC lecturers for being warm & respectful to other cultures.
