Intake Dates
JMC Academy has three intake periods for full-time undergraduate courses and two intake periods for postgraduate courses.
Undergraduate courses (Diplomas and Bachelors) operate on a trimester system (3 academic periods a year), whilst our Postgraduate course (Masters) operate on a semester system (2 academic periods a year).
JMC Academy's upcoming undergraduate (diploma and bachelor) intake and term dates are:
- Trimester commences 12th February 2024
- New students should be in Australia one week prior to commencement in order to attend orientation week.
- Trimester ends 17th May 2024
- Trimester break - 20th May 2024 to 2nd June 2024
- Trimester commences 3rd June 2024
- New students should be in Australia one week prior to commencement in order to attend orientation week.
- Trimester ends 6th September 2024
- Trimester break - 9th September 2024 to 22nd September 2024
- Trimester commences 23rd September 2024
- New students should be in Australia one week prior to commencement in order to attend orientation week.
- Trimester ends 3rd January 2025
- Trimester break - 6th January 2025 to 9th February 2025
JMC Academy's upcoming postgraduate (graduate diploma and master's) intake and term dates are:
- Commences 26th February 2024
- New students should be in Australia one week prior to commencement in order to attend orientation week.
- Mid-Semester Break: 8th April - 14th April 2024
- Semester Ends: 7th June 2024
- Semester Break: 10th June - 11th August 2024
- Commences 12th August 2024
- New students should be in Australia one week prior to commencement in order to attend orientation week.
- Mid-Term Break: 23th September - 29th September 2024
- Semester Ends: 22nd November 2024
- Inter Semester Break: 25th November 2024 - 23rd February 2025
Census Dates
The census date determines the point at which a financial liability is incurred for a course. Students must finalise all enrolments in a term or semester before the census date. JMC Academy's upcoming census dates are:
- 4th March 2024
- 24th June 2024
- 14th October 2024
- 18th March 2024
- 2nd September 2024
Study Modes
All undergraduate courses are offered full-time and are delivered on JMC Academy premises. Learning opportunities off-campus, such as performances, projects and excursions, may also be provided.
Postgraduate courses are delivered through in-person, face-to-face lectures, blended with lectures delivered by industry experts located on other JMC campuses, using advanced video conferencing technology.
Trimester and Semester Systems
All of our Bachelor Degree programs are also available under a Semester system. Under the Trimester system the degree takes 2 years to complete. Under the Semester system the degree will be taken over 3 years.
Students will normally enrol in the Trimester (2-year) system and this will apply unless you advise us of your Semester (3-year) preference during the application/enrolment process.
