Yes. JMC is registered and regulated by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), which is Australia’s independent national regulator of the higher education sector, both public and private.

Due to the creative nature of each of our courses, JMC recognises that ATAR scores are not always the best indication of talent and ability.

Therefore, we have removed any ATAR limitations for enrolment into our courses. Instead, prospective students will be required to meet with our Student Admissions team for a chat about their interests to establish if JMC Academy is the best environment to pursue their passion and turn it into their career.

Creativity is big business. 6.4% of Australia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2016-17 was from cultural and creative activity, representing a 30% increase from $86 billion in 2008-09 to $111.7 billion in 2016-17. Contributing most to the economy were design ($42.8 billion), fashion ($14.2 billion), and broadcasting, electronic or digital media and film ($9.7 billion).¹ The Australian Bureau of Statistics 2016 Census shows employment in the cultural and creative economy growing nearly twice that of the Australian workforce, now representing 5.5% of the total or 593,830 people. Furthermore, the same report shows the average annual income of someone employed in a creative related field being $76,200, 24% higher than the Australian workforce average.²
