Any tertiary institution would be incapable of guaranteeing graduate employment beyond their studies. What we can guarantee is that your child will receive the highest level of tuition during their study with us. They will be immersed in a creative and vibrant environment with like-minded students.

Notwithstanding, in our 2019 survey (of recent graduates), 68% found employment in a directly relevant field within 15 weeks of graduation.

The survey also revealed:

  • 92% of graduates improved their skills in communicating with people.
  • 94% developed their soft skills to work as an effective member of a team.
  • 91% felt they had the capacity to manage change effectively.
  • 93% feel they have the skills to confidently enter the job market
  • 92% were able to develop their creativity and innovation

All JMC students graduate with a professional portfolio of their work suitable for future employment interviews. They will be prepared for the workforce, with a competitive edge over other students when looking for a job.

In choosing to study at JMC, our students are opting for the benefits of an intimate classroom size where the lecturer knows their name and learning needs. They are choosing to learn at an award-winning institution that fosters collaboration and creative vision. The student’s experience becomes an integral part of their learning, and the institution’s own values – quality, integrity, diligence and innovation – indelibly become their own.

Both FEE-HELP and HECS-HELP are Commonwealth Government loan schemes that assist eligible fee paying students to pay all or part of their tuition fees. HECS-HELP loans are only available to students in Commonwealth supported places. For more information click here.

Yes. JMC is registered and regulated by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), which is Australia’s independent national regulator of the higher education sector, both public and private.

Due to the creative nature of each of our courses, JMC recognises that ATAR scores are not always the best indication of talent and ability.

Therefore, we have removed any ATAR limitations for enrolment into our courses. Instead, prospective students will be required to meet with our Student Admissions team for a chat about their interests to establish if JMC Academy is the best environment to pursue their passion and turn it into their career.

Creativity is big business. 6.4% of Australia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2016-17 was from cultural and creative activity, representing a 30% increase from $86 billion in 2008-09 to $111.7 billion in 2016-17. Contributing most to the economy were design ($42.8 billion), fashion ($14.2 billion), and broadcasting, electronic or digital media and film ($9.7 billion).1 The Australian Bureau of Statistics 2016 Census shows employment in the cultural and creative economy growing nearly twice that of the Australian workforce, now representing 5.5% of the total or 593,830 people. Furthermore, the same report shows the average annual income of someone employed in a creative related field being $76,200, 24% higher than the Australian workforce average.2
