After a big music festival, most teenagers tend to crash in bed, but not Brisbane music students, Ashleigh Poulton and Blair Wright.
Poulton and Wright believe that post-festival fever is the most creative time to compose music for their rising band Fox St Hound.
Since meeting at JMC Academy Brisbane in 2009, Ashleigh and Blair have been soaking up inspiration from every corner to assist in developing their quirky collaboration of guitar, loop pedal and vocals for their John Butler Trio inspired acoustic folk, funk sound.
"We like to be very experimental with our music and that comes from exposing ourselves to a wide variety of genres," Blair (aka Hound) said. "JMC Academy has been excellent that way. Our teachers and peers know what sounds good and the mix of genres we touch on in class help us decide what sounds we want to use in our own stuff."
Although they have been performing together for less than a year, Fox & Hound have already been recruited by a Gold Coast production company to lay down five tracks with a debut album projected for the end of the year.
