COVID-19 UPDATE FOR SYDNEY STUDENTS

Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases presenting in Victoria, NSW Health have issued new public health advice for those who have recently travelled from Victoria. If you have returned from Victoria since 27th June 2020 you must self-isolate for 14 days from the date you left. We ask that our Sydney students comply with this advice, and please do not attend campus until the end of your isolation. Please follow this link to the NSW Government’s Guidelines on Self Isolation. You can also click HERE for the most up to date information on COVID-19.

If you have any of the symptoms consistent with COVID-19 please follow NSW Health Advice. We strongly request that no student attend should they be feeling unwell, or have respiratory symptoms (runny nose, cough, sneezing, sore throat) or other related symptoms (headache, fever, nausea).

For classes currently being held on campus, we would like to reassure you that we remain open and continue to follow our protocols for minimising risk. Social distancing, hygiene and regular sanitisation programs are in place. If you are attending campus we ask that you present to Administration on arrival to sign in and have your temperature taken. Hand sanitisers, masks and gloves are also available on request. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact Administration or speak with your Head of Department.

With regards to the recent escalation in cases in Victoria, the Sydney JMC family extends its support to our Melbourne students and colleagues, and wishes them good health and a safe return to campus.
