Stage Management Live Workshop

Ever wonder how Pink’s performance runs so well? Or how your favorite musical happens 8 times a week? That is largely due to the Stage Manager. In this workshop you will learn what it takes to Stage Manage a Live Event and then put those learnings into practice.

VCE 3D Art Crash Course

This practical workshop designed specifically for high school students aims to provide students with an introduction to TV studio recording processes, devise, design, showrun, record and perform in your own TV show.

MIDI Lab Mixing in Protools Workshop

OVERVIEW

Mixing Audio in Protools. This practical workshop is specifically designed for high school students wanting an introduction to mixing audio within the environment of a Digital Audio Workstation.


OUTCOMES

  • Introduction to a Professional recording and mixing environment (Protools)
  • File and session setup, maintenance and file management
  • Importing audio files
  • Software navigation and fundamentals
  • Basic mixing principles and mastering concepts
  • Mix and balance of audio files

Please bring a pair of headphones with a stereo jack adaptor.

VCE Songwritng & Arranging Workshop Workshop

4 hours duration

Gain tips on co-writing original songs, and then also arrange these songs to meet their full potential for a pop-rock band. Aimed at budding songwriters and instrumentalists.

Discover Visual Communication Workshop

Friday 5th October 2018
10:00am - 4:00pm
6 hours duration

The Digital Design department at JMC offers a workshop that covers the fundamentals of visual communication and introduces students to the principles of design, applied across different media, from print magazines to digital interfaces. Composition, layout, typography, colour and light are some of the topics discussed throughout the course. Students will explore how different elements work together to create aesthetically pleasing designs and learn the tools and software that allow them to put these principles into practice.
