ABOUT

It’s difficult to summarise Tommy Emmanuel.

He is an iconic Australian who's been touring the world, playing solo guitar in theatres around the world for over 20 years. From Nashville to Sydney to Tokyo to London. Over and over.

Emmanuel is a four-time winner of Australia’s Best Guitarist Award, two-time Grammy Nominee, nine-time ARIA Nominee and two-time ARIA winner. He has released 28 studio albums, spanning over 40 years and was a pioneer of bringing his style of rock-acoustic guitar to the Australian mainstream. These are just a small number of accolades that Emmanuel has received in his illustrious career as one of the world’s most talented and entertaining guitar players and we are so proud to be hosting his masterclass in April.

This special night will be hosted by keyboardist and JMC Lecturer, Sam McNally, who first played with Tommy back in 1980, and then in Tommy’s own bands from 1987 to 1991. The night will consist of a very special and intimate performance from Tommy, after which Sam will lead a series of questions before opening it up to the audience.
