The musical talent that comes out of our campuses has always been unreal...

So much so that we had to start sharing our ‘Studio Sessions’ out for the world to see. These have been getting such a positive response from students, Alumni and internet audiences that the next step was simple, a JMC Spotify Page!

We’ve collected popular releases, hidden gems, dance tunes and essential isolation songs all written and/or performed by JMC students into campus-specific playlists.

SYDNEY

What’s Inside? Sydney is full of emerging artists that have packaged their talent into EP deliveries, like Little Green’s ‘Raw’ in 2019 who followed this up with a collaboration with Boulevard for their single ‘Take Your Time’. The Shang, who released their latest single ‘String Along’ is the dub, psych, old school, no-nonsense rock blend you’ve always asked for. Artists don’t get any more colour coordinated than Blake WIlliams, whose 70’s and 80’s inspired sound has brought us his latest ‘Envoi’.

What’s Inside? Melbourne has granted JMC one of the most diverse set of musicians featuring the likes of EDDIE, the electro audio alumni bringing house music back in collaboration with Mau5trap in single ‘Still Healing’. Mixing 60’s rock and modern atmospherics brings us Creature Fear, a 5-piece full of energy in their hit ‘Please Me’. Tuva Finseras, inspired by her Scandinavian background, brings a unique musical quality into her single ‘The Wanderer’.

What’s Inside? Harry Phillips, the recent Billy Thorpe Scholarship recipient at the 2020 Queensland Music Awards, brings his singer-songwriter ability together in ‘EMMA’. Blending pop, rock and acoustics comes Dakota Striplin, the Voice alum whose cover of Elvis’ ‘Love Me Tender’ sits amongst his own original work. The producer act that is Goosebumpz is the dance party machine with his eclectic assortments featured in ‘Putrid’.
