With Aaron Draplin visiting us here shortly at JMC Academy, we thought we would have a look at some of the top graphic design based Instagram accounts that definitely need a follow. Take a peak…
Hailing from LA, California, Steven Harrington posts incorporate dynamic designs with bold, sharp lines and strong bursts of colour.
Art director, designer and partner at Sagmeister & Walsh, Jessica Walsh’s Instagram showcases her past and current works, as well as her own personal inspirations.
One of our own, this Melbourne-based artist, Kate Pullen blends sharp colours with bold patterns, creating an inspiring page full of typography and illustrative designs.
Jacob Eisinger is a 3D illustrator & art director whose designs look so real, it is definitely an instagram page that feels touchable.
Thomas Burden is a 3D Illustrator and as he describes a ‘bush-league animator’. His playful and strongly detailed works could have you staring at the same post for periods of time, in amazement and awe.
Designer of some amazing book covers, Rodrigo Corrals Instagram consists of beautiful book designs and beautiful inspiring pieces. Please hold all ‘judging a book by it’s cover’ jokes. This work is just too beautiful for puns.
Wade Jeffree is a home grown Australian Designer and Art Director living in NYC. His vibrant designs mix with a selection of his own inspirations, past and current work.
Rachel Rye is an llustrator and Animator, whose instagram consists of amazing storytelling short videos, of which capture your attentions, inspiration and heart.
Jessie Bearden uses anything necessary to, as she puts it ‘make anything pretty’. This includes food, grass, and anything she can get her hands on.
Of course we could not miss Aaron Draplin. Featured heavily in the VANS | OFF THE WALL series, Draplin’s use of colour, stroke and technique enable him to work on some of the world's most prestigious communication campaigns for brands as large as Nike down to small American bands as part of his “passion projects”. Draplin will be coming down under to present free to attend workshops at JMC Acadamy’s 3 campuses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. And we of course had to include our own design Instagram page. With posts from our students incredible work, this page demonstrates the work developed on the course about the design of The Web, Apps, Spaces and Experiences.
