Tara O’Connell’s ‘September’ Nominated for ATOM award

JMC Academy's Alumni Tara O’Connell's film ‘September’ has been nominated for, not one, but two ATOM september-film.jpg(Australian Teachers of Media) Awards.

Tara's 'September' has been nominated for the Best Tertiary Documentary and the Best Experimental Film.

September is a 'visually driven piece that tells its story through imagery and behaviour. It centres around the theme of grief through the eyes of a father still dealing with the unexpected death of his eldest daughter. It’s told from the perspective of his youngest daughter through voiceover.'

The ATOM Awards celebrate the best of Australian and New Zealand screen content from the education sector and screen industry professionals. This year, it includes entries in nearly thirty categories covering everything from feature-length documentaries and factual television programs to animation, educational resources, games and new media.

You can attend the Finals to celebrate the winners on Thursday the 26th of November at 7pm at the LUX in Melbourne. Tickets are $40 each and available here...

Best of luck Tara!
