Students get the scoop on the Red Carpet Arrivals at AACTA Awards

With an all-access-pass at the 3rd AACTA (Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts) Awards Ceremony, Film and Television students Danny Giles, Jarryd Prain, Sharon Shen and Brianna Williams worked alongside Arts and Entertainment News site Hush Hush Biz to interview and film the star-studded arrivals.

AACTA_2.jpgWhile Sharon (Trimester 3) and Brianna (Trimester 6), put their Film skills into practice, Jarryd and Danny (both Trimester 3) took on the role of reporters for Hush Hush Biz. Interviewing some of Australia's most prestigious screen professionals including Baz Luhrmann (Great Gatsby), Ryan Corr (Packed to the Rafters), Rove McManus (Rove), Tim Robards (The Bachelor), David Wenham (Lord of the Rings), Dan Wyllie (Chopper & Romper Stomper), Jack Thompson (Star Wars), Deltra Goodrem and Elizabeth Debicki (Great Gatsby), Jarryd said he was "absolutely overwhelmed by the incredible talent that's been here today"

The AACTA Awards, are the highest film and television awards in Australia, the equivalent of the Oscars and BAFTAs. With over 1350 actors in attendance on the day on the Star Casino rooftop, the students gained in-valuable practical experience vital to their learning.

Hush Hush Biz founder Caroline Russo said "I had a great connection with the students, they put some amazing time into the presenting and editing of the work".
