Scott Petts - Art Director, HBO New York

As a student, Scott's hard work, passion and talent was evident; recently taking him from the studios onto the red carpet at the Emmy Awards in LA. 



sCOTT_pETTS-(1).jpegSince graduating in 2002 from JMC Academy with a Bachelor Degree in Animation and Television Production, Scott's career has progressed rapidly and he is now working for HBO in New York as an Art Director on large scale productions including Game of Thrones, True Blood and Boardwalk Empire. 

During his 6 years at HBO Scott has handled the execution of interactive, visual and motion design as well as branding accross multiple, expanding digital platforms. "The goal is to keep the audience engaged online and to keep the conversation going even after their favourite show ends" explains Scott. 

Most recently, Scott’s team at HBO was nominated for a 2012 Emmy Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media for their Game of Thrones Season 2 enhanced digital experience.

Other projects Scott currently has underway include developing a video info-graphic series called Under the Lights for HBO Boxing. The goal of this experimental series is to energize and excite the casual boxing fan base with customer in-depth pause and play analysis videos leading up to PPV bouts. Prior to HBO, Scott worked at MTV Networks for 4 years, starting as a visual designer and working his way up to Art Director, overseeing the design and branding across multiple sites. Scott managed a bi-coastal team of designers in New York and Santa Monica, and won the Webby Award for the 2012 Best Games-Related Website for the E3 all-access site they created on GameTrailors.com. 

Scott notes "I loved my time at JMC Academy and got a lot out of my degree".
