JMC Academy students take on 'Top Gear'

JMC Academy Film and TV students Christine Miranda and Michael Oakley had the chance to work on the first-ever Top Gear Festival at Sydney Motorsport Park in March.

The students worked primarily as assistants to the camera operators on the day who were using Nikon DSLRs and Z1 video cameras. The festival was hailed a huge success and exceeded all expectations with well over 40,000 fans in attendance over two action packed days. The event which was hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and The Stig, had an incredibly strong line up, packed with international and Australian motoring legends.

The feedback regarding the students work was great and the Sydney Operation Manager quoted 'Christine was excellent. I heard from several operators that they really appreciated her assistance. She had a good attitude. I hope she enjoyed the experience. From our reports, I would be happy to have her back anytime.'

The Festival will be returning to Sydney Motorsport Park in 2014 and 2015, proudly supported by the NSW Government.
