Integration Programme for Students

Integrated Projects

Many of the five courses offered at the JMC Academy have been uniquely designed to offer practical assessments which require integrated input between students from different departments to achieve a final result.

In this way, JMC Academy students are encouraged to understand the workings and importance of an integrated network of promoters, distributors, producers and buyers and the impact they have on their own financial success.

Through these integrated projects students are able to gain hands-on experience in how the real industry operates, invaluable when beginning a professional career in their chosen field. Integration between the courses is best exemplified by the student music video clip and television commercial projects, and by preparation and participation in the annual student awards showcase night.

The video clips below entitled 'Don't tell me' and 'Lose we are' by second year student bands demonstrate the collaborative efforts of students from Music Business Management (management, briefing and promotion), Popular Music and Performance (lyrics, voice, score, and performance) and Digital Television Production (visuals, editing, filming, and production), and Sound Engineering and Production (audio and DVD production). The second clip shows great collaboration with the Digital Animation students who added the amazing Visual and post production effects.

Annual Student Awards and Showcase

One of the most significant and anticipated events in the JMC Academy social calendar is the Student Awards and Showcase night. The showcase represents the combined talents and integrated achievements of all JMC Academy students and always offers a highly entertaining and seamless programme.

Students from every course play a part in the development and running of the show on the night. Held annually in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, the showcase is typically held at leading entertainment venues in each state.
